Wow - I am excited for the immense personal satisfaction part!! When do you get to that part in your big day of being a good wife?

This was OBVIOUSLY written by a man and published by a man! Okay, after 8 years of marriage there is something to be said about sacrificing. This article idealizes what a good wife should be, and yes we all laugh because it is truly impossible to be all of the above. However, some of the suggestions are valid. I have learned not to complain the second he walks in the door and I try my best to have dinner ready for him. I do believe that husbands do appreciate the things you do, even though they may not always recognize you for them right away. Let's see the Good Husband article now!!!! Too funny Britt!

hmmmm - i think if i did that Jeremy would wonder if i hit my head or something - i am so happy the feminist movement happened...not that i don't think i need to take care of and love my husband, but i do think it is a bit 18th century to thing that his ideas, thoughts, and topics of conversation are more important than hers...

I always love reading that (it's been circulating for years obviously) and even though it is a bit sexist I also think it has some great points especially if you're a stay at home mom.

I can't imagine living every day like that though LOL

Lol, no complaining or questioning him if he doesn't come home for a night. Yeah, I'd say written by an unhappy man.

Can you imagine??? I've always thought it would be fun to live in the era of malt shops and poodle skirts and all that cool stuff. But if it means practically being a slave...... not for me!

I'm so stealing this. I love the part about 'his topics of conversation are more important than yours'. Dude who wrote it should get a frying pan to the head for that one!

Yeah I agree with your commenters... (is that a word) but there is something to be said about the divorce rate back then, its a lot less than it is now. I hate to sound old fashioned, but its the whole if you take care of your husband, he will take care of you, vise versa. Not coming home, and his conversation topics are more important than yours and some others... someone was on crack when that was written! EEK! But to a point, this somewhat makes sense, a little. Sorry to Zac though because I will never be that wife. lol. Oh yeah, master of the house, I think not.
