Disney Toy Story Mania

Last Tuesday I realized it was the last day I could use my annual pass until like the end of August so I decided to surprise Kasen after school and take him to Disneyland. I didn't tell him where we were going, I just made him go to sleep on the way there, but as soon as we got on the freeway, the first thing he said was, "this is the way to disneyland! Are we going to Disneyland mommy?" I lied and said no for a couple reasons. 1. I really wanted it to be a surprise and 2. I knew that if I told him that's where we were going he would NEVER fall asleep and he needed a nap having been at the beach with no nap all day the day before.

Kasen woke up when we got off the freeway. It took him a second to look around and finally realize where we were. He said...that's the way to Disneyland mom. I said "yep! do you want to go?" This was his response!! Notice the sleepy hair?

When we got there, we went straight for the new Toy Story Mania ride knowing that since it opened that day, the line would be way long. It was. 2 hours. We decided to wait anyway. It was 95 degrees out and we were waiting in line with no shade. Kasen started getting cranky and whiny and I got worried since he is heat sensitive that he was going to get sick, so we asked the people in line in front of us if they would hold our spots while we went to go get some water bottles. They kindly agreed. While we were waiting in line some more, they announced that the ride was done and they didnt know when or IF it was going to come back up. We decided to wait having been in line over an hour already. At this point Kasen was freaking out and telling me he wanted to go home, he didn't want to go on the ride, he didn't feel well. The people behind us heard him and told us that if we wanted to go on a couple rides and check back to see where they were in line, they were fine with that and would hold our spots. HOW NICE! So we did, and Kasen chose the carousel to go on first. He was SO happy to be out of line. We even went to get some lunch and he ate a WHOLE hot dog (no bun), bag of chips and drank a whole bottle of water.
Waiting in line some more for the ride. At this point we had been in line 2.5 hours and they said that the ride was back up so we stayed in line with our new found gay friends behind us.
You get to wear some pretty sweet 3D glasses for the ride. Kasen wore then through the rest of the line.
These were our final scores. I was the highest out of our group of 6, but the high score for the day was like 389,000. Oops! Just when I was about to be proud of my score. The ride was really cool and it was fun for both the kids and adults. I don't think I would wait in line 3.5 hours for it again, but it was still really cool. I only really techinically waited in line for about 3 hours.

On a bugs life ride.
Chip and Dale's treehouse. He made a friend and the two of them went through the treehouse about 6 times. I was fine with that, gave me a few mintues to sit in the shade and rest my feet.
Goin for a ride in Mickey's car.
Hangin out in Mickey's family room.
I didnt bring a stroller OR rent a stroller. Kasen walked EVERYWHERE we went. We were at Disneyland from about 1:30-9:30 at night. By the time we got off the last ride and started our walk back to the front of the park Kasen was complaining he was tired, his feet hurt, his legs hurt, want wanted to sit down. It was pretty bad. We sat down about 5 times on the way back to the tram. Once we got to the car, Kasen ate his popcorn (a little tradition we have, we get popcorn on our way out of the park to eat on the car ride home) and was out within minutes of being on the freeway. He is just like his mommy. He can't have his feet just sitting on the ground. He always has to have one bent, or up, or sitting on it. He was PASSED out!

I did the no stroller thing with Katelyn and won't do it again...I ended up carrying her most of the night. How fun though, we are going on Friday since it's our last opportunity to go before July comes and it's all blacked out.
